HOW THE BRAS BEGAN
After two years of being immersed in the wonderful world of merino silk wool vests, our founder realised that there was something else she could offer her customers.
A SOLUTION TO AN EVERYDAY ISSUE
As customers talked to our founder about what they were looking for in a vest, the talk turned to bras. Like many of them, she was also struggling to find a bra which offered a good fit. Suffering the daily irritation of straps falling off her shoulders and general discomfort, she resigned herself to the fact that this was something women just had to endure. Our founder had an epiphany that this was something she could solve, so she learned the specialist art of bra fitting.
BRA FITTING PROBLEMS
Our founder has fitted hundreds of women with bras, and found there are two common problems. One is that ladies have the wrong size bra; the other is that they have a poor quality bra. With bras, the more you pay, the more strength and support you get. And with this comes comfort. Our founder has worked with dedicated manufacturers, who have specialised in corsetry for hundreds of years, and learned that higher quality components equate to a better fit and enhanced comfort.
DO YOU HAVE THE RIGHT BRA?
It’s quite simple to tell if you have the right bra, when you know what to look for:

A bra should be comfortable all day.

You shouldn’t be desperate to change out of it at the end of the day – you should almost feel like you want to sleep in it.

You can also tell by looking at your body.
If you look in the mirror, your bust line should be halfway between your elbow and your shoulder. Your bust should be in line with your rib cage – lifted and centred.
You should be able to achieve both of these with a bra, whatever your age. We always recommend that you go to see a specially-trained bra fitting expert. It really is life changing.
