Our Story - It All Started with a Vest

The roots of Bella di Notte started in 1998 in the stunning region of Umbria, Italy with a beautiful Italian thermal vest. The design of this initial vest became our best-selling ladies vest Rosella.

The stunning Italian region of Umbria, with its breathtaking scenery and charming medieval towns is surprisingly chilly in wintertime. Initially purchased from a local market the beautifully-finished vest was trimmed with exquisite, intricate lace and made from the smoothest merino wool and silk. Fitting like a hug – so unbelievably warm and soft yet wonderfully glamorous. We knew there would be many other women in the UK who would love them too.

So started the search for Italian factories to make these vests on our behalf and we are proud to work with the same manufacturers today. Bella di Notte is proud that women in the UK share our love for warm, comfortable and sexy Italian-made thermal vests. We now have a number of different vests in our range.
