A solution to an everyday issue

As conversations with customers focused on what they were looking for in a vest, the talk often turned to bras. Many were struggling to find a bra with a good fit, suffering from daily irritations likes straps falling off shoulders, general discomfort. It seemed like this was just something women had to endure - until the idea came to learn the specialist art of bra fitting and offer a solution.

Bra fitting problems

Through fitting hundreds of women with bras, two comment problems emerged. First, many were wearing the wrong size bra; second, many had poor quality bras. For those finding their bras too tight, bra extenders can offer extra comfort. When it comes to bras, the more you pay, the more strength, support and comfort you get.

By working with dedicated manufacturers, who have specialised in corsetry for hundreds of years, it became clear that higher quality components lead to a better fit and enhanced comfort. Brands like Chantelle offer that level of quality, ensuring superior support and fit.

Do you have the right bra?

It's simple to tell if you're wearing the right bra once you know what to look for:

  • A bra should be comfortable all day
  • You shouldn't be desperate to take it off at the end of the day - it should feel so comfortable you could almost sleep in it.
  • You can also check by looking in the mirror: your bust line should be halfway between your elbow and shoulder. Your bust should be lifted and centred, in line with your rib cage.

You should be able to achieve all of these things with a well-fitted bra, whether you're wearing a front fastening bra, a Chantelle Bra, or using bra extenders for added comfort. Whatever your age, we always recommend visiting a specially-trained bra fitting expert - it really can be life-changing.

You should be able to achieve both of these with a bra, whatever your age. We always recommend that you go to see a specially-trained bra fitting expert. It really is life changing.
