What's your favourite part about being a buyer at Bella di Notte?
Helping to create beautiful timeless quality garments that we hope our customers are going to love wearing time and time again.
How do trends influence the way you choose staple silhouettes like trousers or blouses?
As a brand our focus is less on chasing the latest trends and more on creating new timeless pieces that we hope will become wardrobe staples. We look to the latest trends for colour, print, texture and trim inspiration but we are ultimately guided by our customer.
Which trouser styles do you think are must-haves for every wardrobe and why?
I believe every woman should have a classic straight leg jean. Our Gloria Straight Leg offers effortless comfort and a flattering silhouette for all body shapes. It is the perfect versatile piece for your weekend wardrobe, a simply stylish piece that can be dressed up or down with ease. I love wearing mine in Ecru with my Bronwen Blouse.
What was the process like when creating our own-brand Denim by Bella di Notte range?
After many years of working with top German denim brands we knew we had big shoes to fill when launching our Denim by Bella di Notte range. We had been listening to what our customer had been requesting for years so for us it was essential the Denim by Bella di Notte range would encompass:
High quality premium denim with stretch for all day comfort
Flattering and comfortable fit for all body shapes (High waisted with a comfortable bias-cut waistband and rise and no gaping at the back waist!)
Real fit choice (Women's trouser sizes 8-20 and 3 leg lengths)
What goes into updating a well-loved style to keep it fresh and relevant?
Colour is really key at Bella di Notte. We know our customer loves colour and print, so we continually strive to offer new colours and exclusive prints that reflect the distinctive Bella di Notte style. We also continually strive to improve quality and fit; we listen to our customers feedback and try to react and make improvements wherever possible.
We worked with a small premium denim factory and worked with a garment technician who was a trouser fit specialist to ensure quality and fit of the collection would be paramount at every step of the process. We fitted the range across many ages and heights to achieve the fit. It was also important to us that we created a collection that was available in our key seasonal colours, so all the jean styles would coordinate perfectly with the colours and exclusive prints in the rest of our collection.
